Bassist Shogo Yamagishi brings violinist Ben Rubie and drummer Max Nguyen to DADA! This trio explores the Jazz standard repertoire with a modern flare.

Shogo Yamagishi is a student born in Los Angeles and raised in Long Beach, California. He is the son of Mami Yamagishi and Dylan Ellefson. He currently studies in New York City. Shogo is a student of Jay Anderson and Buster Williams. He is a student of life and a student of his peers. He walks the world with love.

Ben attended New York University on the Steinhardt scholarship for jazz violin. He is a recipient of the National Young Arts award for three years in a row and a two-time Billy Strayhorn award winner. Ben is also a Virtu Violin Recipient. Ben was recently selected to audition for the prestigious Herbie Hancock program at UCLA in LA. In 2025, Ben was the violinist for the Mahavishnu Project, a modern iteration of the original band with the blessings of the original members John McLaughlin, Jan Hamer, Jean-Luc Ponty, Jeff Beck, and Billy Cobham.
