Low Intervention is an experimental music series curated by Annie Garlid, which brings together live sets and DJ sets. The night will feature live performances from Colin Self and Eve Essex, as well as DJ sets by Dominika Mazurová.
Colin Self (b. 1987 Oregon, USA) composes music, performance, and environments that expand consciousness and trouble binaries as well as boundaries of perception and communication. They work with communities across disciplines and use immaterial and material means – including voices, bodies, and computers – to interface with and reimagine worlds. Self currently lives between Berlin and New York.
Eve Essex is a composer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist based in New York City. She performs with voice, woodwinds and electronics, harnessing elements of distorted pop, avant-jazz, chamber music and drone.
