Elias Meister Trio feat. Scott Colberg (bass) & Jeremy Gustin (drums)
Elias Meister's music combines many genres into a new and personal sound. Drawing from influences like meditative Krautrock, Jazz and Rock music Meister creates new soundscapes that venture new paths with the deep improvisations of the trio. Employing both masterful guitar playing and extensive use of effect pedals he is able to take the listeners on fresh sonic adventures. For this show he has assembled an extraordinary cast of musicians with the drummer Jeremy Gustin and bassist Scott Colberg.
Guitarist Elias Meister is equally at home playing sensitive Jazz or powerful Rock, Electronic Music or Hip Hop. He leads his own Jazz formations including the trio Spacepilot (with Grammy-awarded pianist Leo Genovese) and is part of the live Techno and House collective N/UM, that has played all over the US, Mexico and Europe. He is a member of the touring band of rap-artist Residente (the musician with the most Latin Grammy wins in history), with whom he played massive stages including Radio City Hall, Austin City Limits and stadium tours all over the world. He co-wrote and played guitar on the song 'Quiero Ser Baladista' (feat. Ricky Martin), that was part of the Grammy-winning album 'Las Letras Ya No Importan'. Elias Meister's work has been lauded by the international press including a 4-star Downbeat review calling his album 'Playful & Daring'.
